Last night I was kind of sleeping, kind of still aware of what was going on and I was either thinking or dreaming that I heard the carbon monoxide detector go off in my house, but then i second guessed myself and thought if it rly went off my parents wouldve woke up. seconds later i remember sitting straight up in bed choking, suffocating, felt my lungs close up, felt dizzy, exactly as if i was breathing in carbon monoxide. I thought oh my god this is real I wasnt dreaming so I hopped out of bed and screamed for my brother and mom and dad hoping that they were still alive. I was shaking and coughing and my mom then came out and i told her what i thought happened and she told me everything was ok. i got water went out for fresh air, came back in still convinced it really happened. I dont think I was sleeping completely but why did i think and feel like this really happened?

i know i'm not even 14 yet but I've always wanted to go to Julliard for collage i'm even starting to learn how to play guitar and ill practice till my fingers hurt.. but i'm very good at photography. i live in upstate new York so it probably will be far away heck i don't even know where Julliard is and i know it will be a tough time for me. Help with crackle paint!?

I followed the directions and I am having major problems with this technique. I am painting one wall in our bedroom. I am having problems with blending the top coat evenly. I have tried doing long brushstrokes, but you can see each section where I have stopped and started again. It is impossible to do one long paint stroke from top to bottom of my wall. I also miss tiny sections of the wall and then cannot go back to put paint on them because it takes off the crackling paint on sections I have already painted. This is a mess and very difficult. I love the look though (when it’s done right). Any tips would be so helpful!!!

Any tips on how to train a hyperactive and misbehaving puppy?

Sounds like you're very resourceful with your approach, but he might need basic training and then an upgrade to more complex training. He's still young, so don't lose hope. He needs to know that he is NEVER allowed on the furniture and eventually he will stop going there. As for the muddiness, keep supplies (towels and such) near the door and clean him up every time, he'll eventually realise that that is part of his routine. But like I said, he's still just a puppy and will calm down over time.

How can we be without a threat in this world, aside from one another, disease, and the like. We are essentially plagues to our planet. What evolutionary mechanism allows for such unnecessarily strong brain power? It doesnt seem very consistent with the idea of evolution for our species to be so far above the rest of the dangers of the world. No life has made such strides in evolution as to become essentially immune. How does evolution explain our ability to resist nature so resiliently? Our abilities are unnecessarily strong and far beyond the needs of evolution.

Best way to keep strapless tops & dresses in place?....?

I have some really cute strapless dresses & tops, but as all ladies know, strapless equals a constant battle with gravity. And I always have a problem with the edge of my top or dress folding into my strapless bras. I am small-framed with a small chest, so there's definitely not much that 'naturally' holds my top or dress up, if you know what I mean. And I definitely can't go completely bra-less. I've considered the little adhesive bra 'petals', such as what Frederick's of Hollywood offers, but feel like they would appear to flatten my chest, which I don't want. Or maybe the self-adhesive backless, strapless 'bras' also, but am unsure of how natural the look would be. I'm gonna be taking cross country instead of P.E. at my school, trying out for the team too. Carbon monoxide detector keeps beeping?

I have two carbon monoxide detector. My upstair carbon monoxide detector keeps beeping every 2-4 minutes. It also has a number saying 52. The carbon monoxide downstair appears to be fine, althrough it doesnt have that displaying number thing. I tried switching the carbon monoxide with each other, and now neither beeps anymore. -i went for my smear and was told it was abnormal so went to hospital they said it was cin3 and i had cone biopsy (laser). i have since been told that i hve cervical cancer in stage 1. each stage has 4 parts if i remember mine is the second part of stage one. i have told hospital rather than go thru all treatment i wouls rather have a hysterectomy. they have to send off more tests to see where this cancer is and if they do a hysterectomy if they will have to remove my ovaries as well. Switching from tri-sprintec to ortho cyclen?

i was on tri sprintec for 3 months, the first couple of months were fine but the third month was just horrible. in the 2nd week i experienced bleeding for a day, heavy, ped blood clots, everything. then the next day it was gone, but there was still a brown discharge for a week. during the third week the bleeding happened again for one day, and then the brown discharge, and then it happened again with the bleeding, and have been bleeding since. i ended up going to my doctor and told them how i hated it, and they switched me from tri sprintec to ortho cyclen. she said the breakthrough bleeding will be fixed, most likely this month into next when i start taking these new pills, but im wondering if anyone has experienced the same things, or how good ortho cyclen is, and its side effects!! thanks for the help!

Is there a way to get social serivces involved with a severely anorexic co-worker?

I work with a 56-57 year old woman who is severely anorexic. She is aproximately 5'2 and I am being completely serious when I say she cannot way more than 75 lbs--and most likely ways slightly less. I am younger and started with this company 3 years ago (she has been there over 20) and during this time she has pretty much lost contact with her entire family because of this disease. Other long time employees say she has been anorexic (though never this bad) as long as they can remember. When I started, she was obviously very underweight, and probably weighed 85 lbs. Though she is usually covered up, I've caught glimpses of her arms and collar bone and what you see is like looking at a picture of a holocaust victim. She lives about a mile from work and walks everywhere. Every single day since I've worked there she walks for about 50 minutes during lunch. Pretty much the only thing I've ever seen her eat in 3 years is a yougert after her lunch walks and a diet soda at 10 am sharp. Other than that-- quite literally I've seen her eat 1 single scrambled egg on one occasion and a few bites of toast on another--both were during special office meetings hosted at restraunts. What has really been signifigant and causes great alarm as of late is that her husband of close to 20 years left her last year and moved across the country because of her refusal to try to get better, and now she lives all by herself. Her daughter (who lives in another state) has in the past few months finally come to a breaking point with the situation and has had to stop speaking with her and won't allow her contact with her grandaughter (entirely because of her disease)--and she still refuses to seek treatment. She will acknowledge she has a problem, but in the same breath talk about how healthy she is. Slowly she is getting worse and worse--It is truly the most horrific and disturbing thing I've ever had to experience in the work place. I am convinced I will never meet someone like this ever again in my life. Recently she had to get taken the the ER because of a shingles outbreak and the doctors released her! It truly seems that she is to the point now that she cannot make sound mental decisions for herself and I would think that the state should be able to step in and force her into treatment. Okay, so I boughta package of alfalfa hay because I know that people feed it to sulcatas. On the back of the package, however, it says that it is protein rich. I just recently arrived back home from a week long vacation, while I was gone, my dog stayed with family members(he has stayed with them in the past, they take excellent care of him so I'm not worried that this was cause by abuse). The morning after he was returned to me, I noticed that he was scratching excessively, the kind where when I scratched him, his leg would start t on the ground, I checked for fleas/ticks and didn't find any. Since the family he was staying with has a cat(and because he was in a different neighborhood outside), I decided I would give him a flea bath, just in case. During the bath, I found a golf-ball sized area on his bottom that was large and swollen. He moves away from pressure, but pushes his bottom towards me when I touch other parts near his tail. It feels like a big, squishy bruise. Should I be more worried than I already am? He is a 11 year-old Yorkie.

But--I think a series on self-identity would work and you find some interesting concepts: For instance, if you are thin,blonde,blue eyed, beautiful---what would you look like if you were an abstract sculpture? Use ceramics, maybe, or papier mache' if that's not available, and make a tall, slim, lovely, golden abstract figure with a couple of blue touches--nothing obvious like eyes. If you're black, short, a little overweight, with long curly hair--well, that's a different sculpture, isn;t it? Then--what would you look like as an abstract painting reflecting your feelings--pick a color for each feeling or emotion or trait and make them blend together---a collage (and most collages are not successful because they don't 'mesh' enough--so take it further than you think you need to!) puts all your interests together for a background, with perhaps a quick portrait line sketch over everything---well, I think you could take off from there. Pregnant, started a new job, and no FMLA for a year?

awww...I am pretty sure I'm pregnant, just started a new job, but no FMLA for a year. I can take a maternity leave with pretty good urance that I could get my hours back when I return. I don't believe we could afford that. Do you think it would be too hard for me and the newborn, if I went back to work half time? That would be two overnights from 12pm to 8 am. I thought I could keep the weekend hours for six weeks, and drop the other hours, and my parents could keep the kids during the weekend overnights for a few weeks. After that I could return to the 4 overnights, but still unsure how that would be with a newborn baby. I don't want to burden my family. I would need to pump through the night and keep bottles in the fridge. With my first baby, he slept with me mostly and fed about every two hours. Do you think this will be too rough on everybody?

I've done a lot trying to keep my character from "bouncing" when going downhill but I just thought I'd mention that since indeed sonic seems to have a very thorough collision system and I too would like to know more about it so I can borrow some techniques. I've still got no solution but I think the left edge of loops may be triggered when sonic crosses a certain point on the right side of the loop. By the way, I'm not seeking to "copy" anything, and definitely won't be using any loops, as that is a trademark of Sonic.
