Car Questions, No Ricers please?

Ok, I am 15, when i turn 16 im getting a Scion Tc (i dont want it but mom said too damn bad) and i want to race it. I don't wanna be a ricer only adding visual effects the first thing i'm going to do is get engine peices and stuff to actually hieghten the performance, buy my question is what would be the best stuff to get to make it get high in HorsePower and torque? I need the specs and stuff you know. Please no answers from ricers that dont know anything about what im talking about.
