Best way to keep strapless tops & dresses in place?....?

I have some really cute strapless dresses & tops, but as all ladies know, strapless equals a constant battle with gravity. And I always have a problem with the edge of my top or dress folding into my strapless bras. I am small-framed with a small chest, so there's definitely not much that 'naturally' holds my top or dress up, if you know what I mean. And I definitely can't go completely bra-less. I've considered the little adhesive bra 'petals', such as what Frederick's of Hollywood offers, but feel like they would appear to flatten my chest, which I don't want. Or maybe the self-adhesive backless, strapless 'bras' also, but am unsure of how natural the look would be. I've also considered, & am leaning towards, getting the little clothing adhesive tapes, to hold my top or dress in place. Ladies, any thoughts/suggestions would be SO much appreciated. Thanks so much!
