I'm gonna be taking cross country instead of P.E. at my school, trying out for the team too. Right now, as of my middle school races, we were running two miles and my average time was usually somewhere around 12-14 minutes, depending on the terrain. (I know, I know. Slow.) Also, in track, my 1600 was around 7 min and my 2400 around 10. So, I guess do I stand a fighting chance? And how long are the distances for races on the cross country team? Also, I'm uming the track distance stays the same, the times just get better.
