I am considering going vegan and I was wondering, does anyone know of any nutritional drawbacks to this?

I'm a total carnivore so I might be a little bit biased here, but to keep things honest I'll just stick with this. There is no high quality form of protein out there that is vegan. Your body needs high quality protein or your body will feed on your muscle tissue for energy.
