Which guitar should i buy that best fits my style?

I'm on somewhat of a budget and cant decide what clic brand name guitar to purchase. I want to make sure I buy something that is versatile and fits my style. I've decided to purchase a fender deluxe tube amp (one day) because most of my style is bluesy rock. I also want something that can give off the heavy modern rock sound also. I can't really decide if I want a strat or a les paul. I love both of them but I want something that sounds good playing straight blues, bluesy R&B, bluesy rock, modern rock, some metal and everything in between all that.
