2009 Tax Filing Status?

I have been living separately from my husband all of 2009. He paid me to live in an He My husband paid me to live in an apartment so he could live in our jointly owned home with his girlfriend. Here is my question. Although I worked he did pay me for the apartment and child support. I have filed head of household via the tax preparer's advice. Will that come into question because he paid me money during the year of 2009?
