Why aren't there any horror movies about Cavemen?

Why do Humans think that normal prehistoric animals make such great movie monsters when ancient s like erectus and Neanderthals were clearly far more vicious and savage than any normal prehistoric animal, including T-rex? This is just another case of Humans demonizing everything that doesn't look like their identical twins.
